INTERPRETING

InterpretingVerbal linguistic services such as interpretation and language instruction differ greatly from written linguistic services (e.g., translation or editing). Translation and Interpreting are two very unique professional specialties, each requiring different training, skill sets and personalities. Not only do they represent different forms of media, but the character of a professional interpreter is generally different from that of a professional translator, much like the character of a public speaker may differ from that of an author or researcher.* Come Alive's verbal linguistic services include:

Interpretation... In any situation, from visiting bishops to pregnancy counseling, our experienced interpreters deliver excellence in simultaneous or consecutive interpreting. Bonded, sworn and certified interpreters are available.

Native voice-overs, foreign language narration... Subtitles (written text only) or perfectly timed film/video dubbing (voice-overs) are provided for audio-visual needs in our state-of-the-art recording facility. Native voice talent supplied in accordance with the client’s preferences and specifications.

Language instruction... One-on-one training in several foreign languages is provided by our patient staff at the client’s location.

Group classes, seminars... Whether ongoing or a single event — for employees, potential clients or special groups — classes, seminars and educational sessions are specially designed for each client’s needs.

Presentation and speaker support... Come Alive provides assistance with everything from writing speeches to delivering presentations, in one or more languages.
